OFFSET PIVOT WEB GUIDING SYSTEM WG

The offset pivot web guiding systems WG are the ideal solution for the majority of web guide system applications. They are designed with a basic framework on which a second mobile framework, equipped with rollers, is mounted.
The mobile framework rotates around an axis, called a “pivot”. In ourweb guiding systems, this corresponds to the ideal rotation axis, which therefore guarantees a higher level of adjustment precision compared to fixed pivot frameworks.
In addition to the pivot point, the web is also tensioned correctly and constantly, and this, together with the cork, or other special coating of the rollers, creates the gripping effect required to perform the movement.
The offset pivot web guiding system, according to different market requirements and to different application sectors, can be designed and manufactured in different sizes to guarantee fitting onto the machine they are to be used on.

>> WG.100 and WG.251 are the smallest models. They are extremely compact and are usually used on machines that wark with small webs, such as the hygiene industry.

>>WG.251-SKB is a special version of the WG.251 model that integrates the driver, the control unit and the sensor in the frame. It offers an advanced level of IP protection (IP54) which makes it particularly suitable for use in dusty environments or wherever liquids are present. It's the best solution for the bottling machines.

>>WG.700 WG.703 are usually used in the labels and nonwoven industry.

>>WG.2000 is the largest model of the series; it's usually used on rotocalco, flexographic machines or when the laminates are larger than 800mm.

WR STEERING ROLLER WEB GUIDING SYSTEM

The WR series of steering rollers webguide systems are used mainly in the pre-print zone to align the web before the printing process.
The system consists of a base plate on which are mounted slide that are joined directly to one or two rollers which rotate to take the web back to the right position. The corrective action of the rollers operates in two directions: lateral and rotational.
Are available different solutions of WR steering roller web guiding system with two rollers, in which the material is fed between them before continuing its path, or monoroller mainly used for joining systems.

For situations where a reduced height is required, we design a low profile web guiding system WR-S.
To obtain a particularly compact solution, customized designs for coating systems can also be supplied, with mono-rollers measuring less than 400 mm, mounted on a single motorized slide. This line is called the MINIROLLER.

AT LINEAR ACTUATORS

The AT series of linear actuators is generally adopted in highly compact machines including an unwind or rewind station to guide the material to the production process in the right position and (in the case of rewinding), to ensure that the material is wound round the reel in a straight line.
AT linear actuators are all equipped with a latest generation ofstepping motor and they move quickly and precisely with the help of a screw set in a circle of ball bearings.
According to market requirements, all the linear actuators can be powered with a 24V supply, or a 48V supply to obtain an higher thrust force.
For applications that require a greater drive force, the more robust MX linear actuator is available, both in an axial or geared version, with a motor and mechanism specially designed for moving large masses.
Are available axial actuators or with ratio motors, to reduce the space required or to inincrease the thrust force.

SU ULTRASONIC SENSOR
SIR INFRARED SENSOR

The range of sensors for web guiding systems, available for edge reading only, includes:
>> SU ultrasonic sensors, for reading  the edge of materials such as paper, cardboard and coloured or transparent film
>> SIR infrared sensors, for reading the edge of fabrics and phono-absorbent or close-weave materials.
The size and connection of all models is identical, so they are totally interchangeable on the web guide, depending on the needs of the application.
If two sensors are used simultaneously the centre guide can also be selected from the remote control unit.
Special versions are availbale:
>> ultrasonic sensors with centesimal reading
>>ultrasonic sensors for noisy environments
>> infrared sensors with pneumatic attachment to clean the reading zone from machining residue, AIR version.
>> ultrasonic and infrared micro sensors, usually used on small size web guide systems (SU-M.25 and SIR-M.25)

OPTICAL SENSORS

Re optical sensors are able to read lines and/or edges of laminates using the contrast of the light produced.

>> QUBE; with a visual area of about 6mm, it can detect continuous or interrupted lines on various types of backgrounds such as transparent, metallic, and reflecting. The sensor autocalibrates with the recognition of the line or edge and automatically selecting the reading direction thanks to the selection of the illumination colour for maximum contrast. It's interchangeable with TL.01

>> TL.01; its wide visual area can detect continuous or interrupted coloured lines on light, dark, transparent, metallic and reflecting backgrounds thanks to the automatic selection of the lighting colour, to achieve the maximum contrast. The four keys on the user interface and the four digit display and LED bar give the user the possibility to easily and quickly control and calibrate the main function of the sensor. It also features a micrometric electronic movement (E.M.D.) of the reading position, without reducing the visual area.

>> FISHEYE; with a visual area up to 800mm this is the ideal sensor for material with a considerable width error and when using or splicing reels of different widths, such as, for example, in the corrugated cardboard sector. In fact, its large visual cone, does not require the use of a motorized sensor holder

SENSOR HOLDERS

For an accurate positioning of the sensor are usually installed manual or automatic sensor holders.
The manual sensor holder allows three degrees of freedom and therefore maximum flexibility during installation; if the operator needs to position the sensor precisely a micrometric sensor holder is used because it guarantees minimum movements even during processing.
The automatic sensor holder, equipped with stepping motors and powered by a specific driver MWG.61, is usually used on systems where the operator has to frequently change the position of the sensor or when the sensor is so difficult to reach.

DRIVER MWG.61

The many considerable advantages offered by the driver MWG.61 include:
>> Minimum size. the motor driver, included in a very compact case, can be fitted directly to the framework of the web guide.
>> Reduced disturbance by eliminating cable connecting the driver to the motor and reducing the length of cables between the sensors and the adjuster
>> Self-configuration: the system is configured automatically when it is turned on. The MWG.61 can establish which elements make up the system, which and how many sensors are connected, if an automatic sensor holder bar is present and the type of system configuration.

RK.31 CONTROL UNIT

The many considerable advantages offered by the remote control unit RK.31 include:
>> Compact. The remote control unit is very small, so it can be fitted anywhere on the system, as well as being attached to the DIN bar, or on any wall using the handy flange.
>> Checks up to 10 web guides. It enables the parameters of each connected MWG.61 to be displayed and edited easily, thanks to the instructions supplied by the device itself.
>> User-friendly interface. Pop-up messages give instructions in the calibration phase with a choice of languages for all the procedure guides.
>> LCD Display.
>>  24V Power supply.

RK-ONE CONTROL UNIT

The RK-one remote control unit is an alternative to the RK.31 display if only the MWG.61 driver is used. Using the RK-one has numerous advantages:
>> Easy-to-read. The Rk-one is fitted with a 4 digit display that can be easily read, even at a distance, as well as a bargraf that indicates the position of the actuator. A set of LEDs that indicate the status of the system is also included.
>> User-friendly. RK-one incorporates a basic set of functions which makes it quick and easy to use and calibrate.
>> Adaptable. Two versions are available, depending on the user’s requirements, one to be built-in and one to be fastened to the wall.
>> Interchangeable. The RK-one is connected to the MWG.61 driver via the RS485 serial cable. The two systems are perfectly interchangeable.
